What is a Tenancy Agreement, and why is it important?
A Tenancy Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which a Tenant rents a property from a Landlord. It means both parties are clear about rent, property maintenance and obligations, minimising possible disputes down the road.
How do I customise the Tenancy Agreement for my needs?
You can customise the pre-drafted template by adding specific details such as rent amounts, property condition and contact information for both parties.
Can I modify the agreement after it’s been signed?
Any amendments to the tenancy agreement after it has been signed must be agreed upon by both parties and documented in writing. Both parties must sign any modifications for them to be valid.
What happens if the Tenant fails to meet their obligations?
If the Tenant fails to meet their obligations, the Landlord may seek compensation from the Tenant, including deducting from the security deposit for any damages or unpaid rent. The Landlord may also terminate the tenancy in accordance with the terms of the agreement.
