Client Data Collection

☐ Schedule and conduct client project interview(s) if required.

Report Preparation & Internal Review

☐ Identify and analyse all qualifying R&D projects based on HMRC guidelines.

☐ Calculate all eligible R&D expenditure (staff, consumables, software, subcontractors).

☐ Draft the technical narrative, explaining projects, advancements, and uncertainties.

☐ Compile the financial report, detailing expenditure and the claim amount.

☐ Conduct thorough internal peer review and manager/partner review for accuracy and compliance.

Client Approval & Final Submission

☐ Send the draft R&D tax report to the client for their review and approval.

☐ Incorporate any client feedback and obtain final sign-off.

☐ Prepare the final report for submission, attach to CT600 if required, and submit the claim to HMRC.

☐ Save the final report to DMS and ensure billing/collections is processed.

Post-Submission Finalisation

☐ Confirm successful submission to HMRC and record submission date/reference.

☐ Monitor for any HMRC queries and respond promptly.

☐ Securely archive all project-related and supporting documentation.

☐ Update internal client records and mark the R&D tax report as complete.

☐ Confirm final receipt of report with the client.
