URL: Entity Types
The Entity Type module is essential for categorising and managing client profiles within the system. This module enables users to define and manage labels that differentiate between client types, such as Individual clients and Organisation clients. Proper categorisation helps in organising client data effectively and supports consistent reporting.
Key Features:
- Predefined Labels:
- Description: The Entity Type module allows you to define labels like “Limited Company,” “LLP,” “Sole Trader,” and more. These labels are displayed in the Entity Type dropdown when adding or editing client profiles.
- Usage: When a client profile is created or modified, users can select from predefined labels to ensure standardisation in how clients are categorised across the system.
- Consistency and Organisation:
- Description: By using predefined labels, the system ensures consistency in client categorisation. This standardisation supports accurate client data management, reporting, and enhanced organisation.
- Link Proposal Template:
- Description: This field allows you to link a specific proposal template to an entity type. For instance, if your Limited Company clients require a different proposal structure than Individual clients, this feature automatically uses the appropriate template.
- Usage: When generating a proposal for a client, the system will automatically pull in the linked proposal template based on the entity type selected, eliminating the need to select a template each time manually.
- Link LOE Template:
- Description: This field lets you link a specific Letter of Engagement (LOE) template to each entity type. Different entities may require distinct engagement letter formats, such as a Limited Company having a different LOE than an Individual.
- Usage: When generating an LOE for a client, the linked template for the corresponding entity type will be used by default, simplifying the document generation process and ensuring accuracy.
By using predefined labels from the Entity Type module, you ensure consistency in how clients are categorised across the system. This standardisation helps maintain accuracy in client data management and reporting.
