We’re excited to announce that GoCardless integration is now available in FigsFlow. This means you can collect recurring payments via direct debit automatically when clients sign their engagement letters, eliminating payment chasing and reducing admin time.
GoCardless joins our growing suite of integrations, including Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe, and Adfin, giving you more flexibility in how you collect payments from clients.
What the GoCardless Integration Does
The GoCardless integration connects your FigsFlow account with GoCardless’s direct debit payment platform. When a client signs their engagement letter in FigsFlow, they’re automatically prompted to add their bank details for direct debit setup.
Once connected, payments are collected automatically according to your agreed schedule. No manual invoicing required. No chasing late payments. The client’s bank account is debited directly, and you receive funds without lifting a finger.
This works seamlessly within your existing FigsFlow workflow. You send the engagement letter, the client signs it, adds their bank details through the secure GoCardless prompt, and recurring payments begin automatically.

How to Set Up GoCardless Integration
Setting up the integration takes about 5 minutes. First, you’ll need a GoCardless account. If you don’t have one, you can sign up at gocardless.com.

Get a GoCardless Account
Sign up at gocardless.com if you don't already have one. They offer a free trial with no setup fees.

Connect in FigsFlow
Go to Settings → Integration, find the GoCardless card, and click Connect.

Authorise the Connection
You'll be redirected to GoCardless to log in and grant FigsFlow permission to create mandates and collect payments.

Start Collecting
Once connected, clients will see the direct debit setup option when they sign engagement letters. They add bank details, authorise the mandate, and automatic collection begins.
If you’re already using Stripe or Adfin for payment collection, you can run multiple integrations simultaneously. This gives clients payment method choice while you maintain automated collection across different payment types.
