Accounting workflow templates your firm builds once

Turn the way your best people do a job into a template: the steps, the checklist, the review point and the time it should take. Every new job starts from it, so the work is done the same way every time.

  • Drag-and-drop template builder
  • Review points built in
  • Used by every recurring job

The problem

The method lives in one person’s head

When a job’s steps are remembered rather than written down, quality depends on who picks it up, and training a new joiner takes months.

Checklists in documents

  • Several versions of the same checklist
  • Steps skipped when the team is busy
  • Review happens if someone asks for it
  • No way to see where each job is in the method

Templates in FigsFlow

  • One published version, used by every new job
  • Steps and checklists tracked on the job
  • Review points that cannot be skipped
  • Progress by named step across the firm

How it works

Build it once, use it every time

  1. Build

Drag steps into order, add checklists, owners by role and a time budget.

  2. Gate

Add review and client-approval points that a job must pass before it moves on.

  3. Link

Attach the template to a service, so jobs for that service start from it.

  4. Improve

Publish a new version when the method changes. New jobs pick it up.

What you get

Checklist templates for accounting firms

Lead with your own method. FigsFlow gives you the builder and keeps every job on it.

01

Template builder

Steps, sub-tasks and checklists arranged by drag and drop, no setup project needed.

02

Roles, not names

Assign steps to preparer, reviewer or partner, so templates work for any team.

03

Time budgets

Set expected time per step and compare it with what was actually recorded.

04

Client steps

Include the requests and approvals that need the client, sent through the portal.

05

Versioning

Publish changes as a new version. Jobs in progress keep the version they started on.

06

Template library

Duplicate a template to start a new service rather than building from scratch.

Consistency by design

Every job follows the method you chose

A template is attached to a service. When the engagement letter for that service is signed, the job is created from the template with owners, budget and review points in place.

Managers see which step each job is on, and where time is running over budget.

FAQ

Questions firms ask us

Do we have to build templates from scratch?

Yes. The builder is designed for your own method. Where a ready-made country template set exists, it is listed on the availability page and can be used as a starting point.

What happens to open jobs when we change a template?

Jobs already in progress keep the version they started on. New jobs use the latest published version.

Can we make review mandatory?

Yes. Mark a step as a review point and the job cannot move past it until the reviewer signs off.

Can templates include steps for the client?

Yes. Add steps that send a request or an approval to the client through the portal, and the job waits for their response.
